I’m happy to schedule online sessions to discuss conditioning programs, or for tutorials. I generally charge $40/hr for these. Please email me for more info. (n.b. I’m not a vet! I cannot diagnose an illness, injury or make suggestions about medication).

Science Communication and Education

I’m a career research scientist, hold a Ph.D in Biology and am a freelance writer with a focus on science communication. I’m a regular contributor to Eclectic Horseman Magazine, and the author of their communicating equine science series. Each issue, I review and translate equine research, and discuss how we can use it in our day-to—day horsemanship. Each month, I teach an online class which expands on the topics in the articles, and beyond. You can subscribe to the magazine and sign up for the classes here.

Clinics and Seminars

I host regular clinics in New Mexico, both out of and under saddle, teaching folks about equine anatomy and physiology, and how best we can support the physical and mental health of our horses, holistically. These are often in collaboration with local instructors and specialists. You can find out about upcoming clinics on my events page. I also visit local barns to give seminars and lectures when my schedule allows, feel free to reach out and discuss these
